Kuroko no Basuke Stage Play
Kuroko no Basuke Stage Play (舞台「黒子のバスケ」, Butai 「Kuroko no Basuke」, lit. Stage Play 「Kuroko's Basketball」) is a theater stage performance of the Kuroko no Basuke series. It was announced in December 2015 and the cast members are later revealed in the combined third and fourth issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine released in January 2016[1]. Kuroko's voice actor Kenshō Ono reprises the role of Tetsuya Kuroko, co-starring with actor Yūya Asato as Taiga Kagami.
The first play, titled "The Encounter", focused on the events of the Kuroko no Basuke anime's first season, introducing the main characters Kuroko and Kagami, while also featuring their matches against Ryōta Kise, Shintarō Midorima and Daiki Aomine of the Generation of Miracles. In November 2016, the second play titled "Over-Drive" was announced, as well as the return of the initial cast members[2]. The stage play series would later be followed by two more installments: "Ignite-Zone" and "Ultimate-Blaze", announced on December 2017[3] and September 2018[4], respectively.
All four stage plays for Kuroko no Basuke are directed by Norihito Nakayashiki.

Plot[]

The story focuses on the events of the Kuroko no Basuke anime's first season. The play begins with Kuroko and Kagami meeting for the first time while applying for the basketball club at Seirin High. They are accepted into the club but are soon visited by a member of the Generation of Miracles, Ryōta Kise, who will be their first opponent.
The stage turns into a basketball court as the match between Seirin and Kaijō High begins. With their combination play and teamwork, Kagami and Kuroko manage to overpass Kise, beating Kaijō with a score of 100 - 98. However, soon they are faced with another member of the Generation of Miracles member, Midorima, who is their next opponent.
Managing to prevail over Shūtoku High as well, Kuroko, Kagami, Kise and Midorima meet at a steak house by coincidence to converse about basketball. Midorima warns Kuroko and Kagami of their next opponent who is Aomine, the former ace of Teikō Junior High. Kuroko has a flashback, remembering how he and the rest of the Generation of Miracles played in middle school, thinking back about his and Aomine's friendship as Teikō's light and shadow.
The setting moves to Aomine appearing before Kagami while Momoi visits Kuroko before the match would begin. Aomine tests Kagami as the new light as Momoi warns Kuroko of how strong Aomine has become. Before she would leave, Kuroko promises to defeat Aomine.
The match between Seirin and Tōō Academy begins without Aomine on the starting line-up. However, despite Aomine not being there, Seirin has no time to take it easy as they are faced against Momoi and her skill to predict the players' moves. When her predictions and plans are broken by the unpredictable Kuroko, Seirin finally gains an upper hand. It is then that Aomine arrives, ensuring Tōō's victory as Kagami and Kuroko face their first defeat.
At a basketball court, Kuroko and Kagami vow to defeat Aomine at the Winter Cup and the rest of the Generation of Miracles as well.
